As a Photographer for over thirty years
I have changed interest many times. As
my interest changed so did the subject matter
before my cameras.
My cameras started at 35mm, progressed to
medium format, and on to 4x5 and 8x10, using
both Chrome and Black/White films.
Digital media has not reached that of film but
has become widely accepted by print, commercial
clients and even art collectors. I have migrated
with the industry but still shoot film on occasion.
My latest project is to capture the era of Pinups
from the 1940s. I have studied and tried to recreate
the essence of such artist as Gil Evgren, Varga, and
Rolf Armstrong. Irony in the process that they once
painted from photographs of staged poses and applied
a variety of wardrobes and backgrounds to the same
pose. 70 years later I am using their painting of oil
or pastels to create photographic images.

mall. While I worked hard to achieve the look and feel
of the era, I must give credit to eh natural beauty
brought to me by the models.

In 2004 I suffered a heart attack and changed my lifestyle. One of the changes was to return more aggressively to the world of Fine Art Photography. In photography my mind concentrates on compositions and technical perfection, allowing no room for the thoughts that caused unhealthy stress.
My first Solo Show was at the Hot Shops in Omaha Ne. While I felt disappointed in only selling three large prints, other artist cheered me on because of my success. The small success drove me on. I have showed my work since that day at many venues large and small, selling my work in small handfuls.
